Ruth Kale Dowland, 81, of Ellsworth, died Nov. 24, 1990, at Meadow Brook Care Facility, Bel-
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Paullin Funeral Home, East Jordan. The Rev. Merlin K. Delo of the East Jordan United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
The former Ruth Kale was born June 13, 1909, in East Jordan, the daughter of Daniel and Emma (Parks) Kale. The family moved to Flint in 1925 and Mrs. Dowland returned to East Jordan in 1939. She has resided in the Ellsworth area since 1968.
Mrs. Dowland enjoyed sewing.
She is survived by one daughter, Louise Burton of Flushing; five grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; one brother, Russell Kale of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Isabelle Smith of Primeville, Ore; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Dowland was preceded in death by one brother, Gordon Kale and three sisters, Virginia Kadrovich, Hazel Beauchaine and Helen Patterson.
The family suggests memorials to Charlevoix County Hospice.
