Obituary

Wanda Elaine Ford passed away on January 19, 2023, at the American House in Charlevoix under the care of Hospice of Michigan.

Wanda was born to parents, Ivar Ole Iverson and Ruby (Worch) Iverson in Frankfort Michigan on October 7, 1931.  She attended Frankfort High School and graduated in 1949. Wanda had one daughter, Debbie Winowiecki.

On April of 1972, Wanda married Charles Ford at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Jordan and experienced some of the happiest days of her life. She and Charlie wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida where she enjoyed golfing and joining Quilting clubs. She was also on a golf league at Ye Nine Ole Holes for many years. She enjoyed staying in touch with her cousins in Florida and in Michigan.

 Wanda loved music and in her earlier years taught accordion lessons to students and adults. Wanda enjoyed sewing and had made several quilts that she had awards for.  Wanda worked at Great Lakes Energy for many years until she retired.

Wanda has been preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2005; her parents; brother, Edward; and daughter Debra in 2018.  She is survived by a granddaughter, great grandchildren and several cousins.

No service has been scheduled at this time.

Memorials can be given to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of East Jordan or Hospice of Michigan.
