Patricia Forster, 78
Patricia Forster, 78, of East Jordan, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Charlevoix Area Hospital.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Jordan. The Rev. Herbert Willman will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
She was born Sept. 21, 1922, in Bad Axe, the daughter of Charles and Edessa (McDonnell) Patterson. She attended Michigan State University and graduated with a bachelor's
degree in social work.
Pat worked for the State of Michigan for 20 years, retiring in 1982.
On June 18, 1944, she married Warren J. Forster in Gulfport, Miss. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1986.
She enjoyed volunteer work at church and Grandvue Medical Care Facility.
Mrs. Forster is survived by five sons, Kim (Marcia) Forster of East Jordan, Leo (Kay) Forster of Holland, Pete (Dianne) Forster of Petoskey, Chuck (Mary Ann) Forster of Macomb Township, and Tom (Cyndie) Forster of Mancelona; three daughters, Suzanne Forster of Anchorage, Alaska,
Kathy (Marc) Sullivan of Cedar Springs and Molly (Theron) Reibel of Charlevoix; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Kathryn Artner, of Grosse Pointe. She
was also preceded in death by one brother, John Patterson, and one sister, Margaret Eilber.
The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., in East Jordan. A rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Grandvue Medical Care Facility in East Jordan.
