Helen A. Crawford, 71
Helen A. Crawford, 71, of East Jordan, died May 17, 1987, at Little Traverse Division, Northern Michigan Hospitals.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, at the Paullin Funeral Home, East Jordan. The Rev. Tim Graham of the Mancelona United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
The former Helen A. Archey was born Jan. 9, 1916, in Strongs, Mich., the daughter of Albert and Helen (Ingles) Archey. As a child, she was adopted by Michael and Margaret
Healy.
On Oct. 8, 1932, she married Basil Crawford at Marquette. The couple moved to East Jordan in 1943 and Mr. Crawford preceded her in death on April 8, 1979.
Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker and enjoyed cross country skiing, fishing and snowmobiling. She was a charter member of the East Jordan Snowmobile Club.
She is survived by two sons, Lyle Crawford of Lake-Okeechobee, Fla. and Kenneth Crawford of Mancelona; one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Nathalie) Buchin Sr. of Buckeye, Ariz.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; one brother, Aubrey (Pete)" Archey of California; two
sisters, Mrs. Ruby Morigeau of Montana and Mrs. Margaret Loomis of California.
The family suggests memorials to the East Jordan Snowmobile Club. Envelopes for that purpose are available at the Paullin Funeral Home, East Jordan, where friends may, call after 7 p.m. today.
