Minnie E. Sturgell, 88

     Minnie E. Sturgell, 88, of East Jordan, died April 11, 1990, at Grandvue Medical Care Facility, East Jordan.

     Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at the Paullin Funeral Home, East Jordan. The Rev. Merlin Delo will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.

     Mrs. Sturgell was born Feb. 25, 1902, in Findlay.Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Ada (Beal)
Vermillion. She moved to Kalkaska as a small girl with her family and then to East Jordan in
1915.

     In 1922, she married Gilbert Sturgell in Bellaire. He died Oct. 17,1979.

     Mrs. Sturgell was a member of the East Jordan United Methodist Church and a life member and
past noble grand of the Jasmine Rebekah Lodge No. 365 in East Jordan.

     Survivors include one son, Bernard (Bill) Sturgell of East Jordan and one daughter, Mrs.
Shirley Shepard of Eaton Rapids; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

      The family suggests memorials to the East Jordan Ambulance Fund or the East Jordan United
Methodist Church, Envelopes for those purposes are available at the Paullin Funeral Home, East
Jordan, where friends may call until 9 p.m. today and on Saturday until time of service.
