Carol Jean Badder
Carol Jean Badder, age 78, of East Jordan, Michigan passed away on March 17, 2023.
She was born to Lester and Mildred (Stokes) Fales on December 25, 1944, in East Jordan, Michigan.
Carol graduated from East Jordan high school in 1963. She worked at the Quarters in Boyne until marrying the love of her life, Duane Badder on February 21, 1976.
She loved to cook for everyone, and was known to clean up and start cooking all over again. Carol enjoyed traveling with Duane to the upper peninsula to look at the lighthouses and waterfalls. She would dedicate her special recipes to the potlucks at church and any group get-together. Her pasty recipe was well known throughout the family. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Donald and Walter.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years Duane; children, Bonnie (Chris) Regier, and Duane Badder Jr; grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Stephanie, Dustin, and Brandon, and her sister Luanne Reed.
A Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse Missionary Church, 7824 Rogers Rd., East Jordan, MI 49727. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Arrangements are in the care of the Ellsworth Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
