Obituary

Ruth was united with her Heavenly Father on August 29th, 2022, at home with her husband at her side.

Born on January 11,1952, to Blaine and Polly (Hadix) Simons.

Ruth married Varice on August 16,1969, making a life together and raising a family in East Jordan, Mi.  She worked 30 years providing for her family at Honeywell in Boyne city while also making lasting friendships before retiring in 2008.

Ruth sought peace and comfort in Jesus Christ and was a member of Saint Matthews Church of Boyne City. 

She liked all things crafty!  She liked sewing, crocheting and reading.  She loved her family and seeing all of her children and grandchildren together.  She was an amazing cook, and would host and prepare for her large family gatherings.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, brother Blaine, her sister Rocky, and her daughter Jessica French.  She is survived by her husband Varice, her children; Steve (Becky) Bourdo, Sarah (Fred) Segraves, Dennis Wood Jr., Joni (Corey) Purvis, a son in law Rick French, her grandchildren; Nickolas (Tiffany) Bourdo, Daniel (Kate) Zipp, Mathew Bourdo, Derrek (Paige) Bourdo, Meghan Bourdo, Fred Segraves Jr., Adreanna (Brad) Schneider, Ashlynne Segraves and Addisynn Segraves along with great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews who will hold a private memorial for her at undetermined date.
