Services for Lois A. Atkinson, 73, of East Jordan will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at the Central Lake chapel of the Mortensen Funeral Home with Rev. Audrad Spriensma officiating. .
Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in East Jordan.
Mrs. Atkinson died Dec. 17, 1983, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City following a long illness .
She was born Aug. 29, 1910, in Boyne City, the daughter of Herman and Essie (Thompson) Hunt. She had been a resident of the East Jordan area most of her life and had worked for the East Jordan canning factory. She also had been a resident of the Bosson adult foster care
home in Atwood for 13 years and recently resided at the Provincial House nursing home in Traverse City.
Surviving are: two brothers, Carl Hunt of Flint and Kenneth Hunt of Walled Lake; two sisters, Doris Newhouse of Ferndale and Mrs. William (Betty Jean) Powell of Detroit; several neices and nephews.
