Dale I. Everett
December 23, 1950 ~ April 3, 2022 (age 71)
Dale I. Everett, 71, of East Jordan died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at his home in East Jordan.
He was born on December 23, 1950, in Chestonia Township, Antrim County, Michigan, the son of Robert and Marrion (Watros) Everett. He graduated from Central Lake High School in 1969. On August 9, 1969, he married Catherine Goebel at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Jordan.
Dale served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972, during the Vietnam Conflict. He was primarily stationed in Korea.
He worked at and retired from the East Jordan Iron Works, now known as EJ, USA, after twenty-five years. He then worked 19 years for Burnett Foods, in East Jordan until 2016.
His christian faith was important to him. He also enjoyed fishing, crossword puzzles, hunting for mushrooms and watching TV westerns. He loved volunteering at the East Jordan Senior Center as well as their food and fellowship.
Dale is survived by four children, Trina (Toby) McFarland of Petoskey, Barbara (Corey) Schroeder of East Jordan, Robert (Heather) Everett of Fife Lake and Jamie (Jayson) Moblo of East Jordan; ten grandchildren, Nicole Richards, Maxwell Richards, Ashley Bates, Montana Moblo, Colton Bates, Tristan Everett, Hunter Moblo, Ashton Everett, Kaleb Schroeder and Catera Everett; six great grandchildren, Isabela Trowbridge, Pierce Trowbridge, Mason Honson, Matthew Moblo, Owen Trowbridge and Audrey Moblo; two sisters, Norma (Paul) Bowers of Texas and Mary (BJ) Gates of Indiana; and one brother, Robert (Linda) Everett of Cadillac. He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine; his parents, Robert and Marrion Everett; and five brothers, Al Schafer, Jim Schafer, Bill Schafer, Jerry Everett and Don Everett.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. at the Ontario Street Baptist Church, 812, Ontario Street, East Jordan, MI. Pastor Daniel Swank will officiate with military honors following at Sunset Hill Cemetery, East Jordan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., East Jordan.
Memorials may be given to the Hospice of Michigan or the Ontario Street Baptist Church.
