Elaine Rennekamp, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 30,2001 at her sister's home in Boyne City. A memorial service was held on Thursday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m. at the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan. She was born on Dec. 30, 1923 in Boyne City, the daughter of Horton and Grace (Sischo) Smith. She enjoyed dancing and crocheting for her family. She loved children and enjoyed taking care of her family. Elaine is survived by two children, Cheryl Stephens of East Jordan and Roger Rennekamp of Boyne City; three grandchildren, Bobby Rennekamp of East Jordan, Shawna Stephens of East Jordan and Cheri' Gensman of East Jordan; one great grandson, Exodus Gocha of East Jordan; and her twin sister, Arlene Inman of Boyne City; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert Smith. Memorials may be given to the Rennekamp family. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
