Clifford Bye

East Jordan

Clifford F. Bye, 94 of East Jordan passed way Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was

born May 4, 1930 in Bendon, the son of Henry and Helen (Haywood) Bye.

He proudly served in the United States Navy and went on to graduate college. Clifford

was a dedicated employee of General Motors as a data processor for many years until

his retirement in 1989. Upon retirement he moved north to East Jordan and became

active in the community. He was a member of the East Jordan Lions Club and also the

Evangelical Lutheran Church. Clifford enjoyed many activities the outdoors offered,

including hunting, fishing, and jogging.

Surviving is his wife Maxine (Kirby) Bye, his son Nels (Marsha) Bye of Hillman,

brother in-law John Kilcherman, four grandchildren Larry Bye, Jeremy Bye, Eric

Alfredson, and Neil Alfredson, three great grandchildren Lauren Bye, Miranda Bye,

and Devin Bye, and stepson Mitchell Dougherty. He was preceded in death by his first

wife Bethel (Groesser) Bye, daughters Sherry Bye, Lois Banks, son in-law James Banks

and sister Phyllis Kilcherman.

Interment will take place in Sunset Hill Cemetery at a future date.
